Uttar Pradesh: Due to Maha Kumbh, the date of board examination in Prayagraj has been changed, the exam for this paper will now be held in March

Due to Maha Kumbh, Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education has rescheduled the 10th and 12th class papers to be held on 24 February in Prayagraj. Now this exam will be held on 9 March. Let us tell you that this change made in the exam has been implemented only in Prayagraj district. The paper has not been rescheduled in other districts of the state. UP Board High School and Intermediate board examinations will be conducted between 24 February and 12 March 2025. But due to the crowd of devotees gathered in Prayagraj, the board examination to be held on 24 February will be held on 9 March.
Board exam will start from 24 February
This year 27,32,216 students will appear in the high school examination. 27,05,017 students will appear in the intermediate examination. A total of 8,140 examination centers have been set up in the state. 306 examination centers have been declared as highly sensitive and 692 as sensitive. Live monitoring of the examination will be done through webcasting.
This time there will be online monitoring
This time the high school and intermediate examinations starting from February 24 will be monitored online. Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Minister Gulab Devi on Friday inaugurated the state level control room at the camp office of Director of Education (Secondary) in Lucknow. During this, he said that in accordance with the wishes of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, strict steps have been taken to ensure a cheating-free examination this year.
This year a total of 8,140 examination centers have been set up in the state. These include 576 government, 3,446 non-government aided and 4,118 self-financed schools. STF and local intelligence unit have been activated to completely curb unfair means in the examination.
To keep a close watch on the examination centres, CCTV cameras with two voice recorders, routers, DVRs and high-speed internet have been arranged in each examination room. This will enable live monitoring of the examination through webcasting. To maintain the sanctity of the examination, centre-wise coding has been done in the question papers and special protective measures have been added to the answer sheets.
8,140 centre administrators, 8,140 external centre administrators, 8,140 static magistrates, 1,283 sector magistrates and 439 zonal magistrates have been deployed for the conduct of the examination. Apart from this, 428 mobile squads and 75 state level supervisors have also been appointed.
The Secondary Education Minister informed that the Uttar Pradesh Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024 has been implemented to ensure transparency and fairness of the examination process. Under this Act, strict action will be taken against those who commit any kind of disturbance in the examination process.
