Uttarakhand: Minister Premchand Agarwal bowed down after opposition’s protest and demonstrations by people, expressed regret over the controversial statement

After the ruckus going on since yesterday, today Uttarakhand’s Parliamentary Affairs Minister Premchand Agarwal has expressed regret over his statement made inside the House yesterday. Today, as soon as the proceedings of the fifth day of the budget session of the Assembly began, the opposition showed a lot of attitude demanding an apology from Minister Premchand Agarwal. An opposition MP even got up from his seat after tearing a paper in the House. At the same time, Premchand Agarwal was not even getting the support of his fellow ministers and MLAs.
Minister Premchand Agarwal expressed regret
After the ruckus going on since yesterday over the statement made by the Parliamentary Affairs Minister in the Assembly House, Premchand Agarwal is now on the back foot. He has said that all the people living in Uttarakhand are his family. He does not hesitate to express regret for what he said unknowingly in front of the family members. However, he also added in his statement that the thing said by him inside the House is being presented in a distorted manner.
To live and die in Uttarakhand
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Premchand Agarwal said that some people are twisting my statement in a wrong way. I had said that people from all parts of the country live in Uttarakhand. We all belong to Uttarakhand and Uttarakhand is ours. He said that Uttarakhand is in our hearts. I had talked about the whole of Uttarakhand. He said that I was born in Uttarakhand. I grew up in Uttarakhand. I have to live my life here and die here. He said that my purpose and the meaning of the statement was that Uttarakhand is a bouquet, in which all kinds of colorful flowers are its beauty. My statement was presented in a wrong way.
It is not my purpose to hurt sentiments – Premchand
He said that I feel that the sentiments of many people have been hurt by my statement. It is not my nature to hurt anyone because of me. Therefore, I express my heartfelt regret for whoever has been hurt knowingly or unknowingly.
No hesitation in expressing regret to the family
Minister Premchand Agarwal said that we are all a family and the affection of the younger ones and the blessings of the elders should remain on me. He also said that he has no hesitation in expressing regret to the family members.
