After which the minister’s temper rose. After which the proceedings of the house got entangled in the ‘desi-pahadi’ debate and there was a heated argument between the opposition and the ruling party.
Resignation demanded from minister and Vidhan Sabha Speaker
Congress leader Ganesh Godiyal has also opened a front against the government. Ganesh Godiyal attacked the government and said that the cabinet minister of the Dhami government made a comment against the hill people. Despite this, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and the Speaker of the Assembly were seen defending the cabinet minister. Godiyal has asked the cabinet minister and the Speaker of the Assembly to resign from their posts.
Raised questions regarding land law and UCC
Ganesh Godiyal has also targeted the government regarding land law and Uniform Civil Code (UCC). Godiyal said that the government is legalizing live-in relationships. Which is against the culture of Uttarakhand. He said that if the Congress government comes in the state, then first of all this law will be reviewed, otherwise the government should answer what is the impact of implementing UCC in the lives of the common people.
