Husband slits wife’s throat in the name of Maha Kumbh

Actually, 48-year-old sweeper Ashok Kumar, living in Trilokpuri, Delhi, took his 40-year-old wife Meenakshi to Maha Kumbh. But his intention was not to take his wife for a holy dip in the confluence but to kill her. The reason for this was that his wife had come to know about his affair. It is being said that the husband was planning to kill his wife for months.

Told the children at home- ‘Mother got lost in Kumbh’

To ensure that no one suspects this bloody crime, Ashok also posted video photos on social media. In which both of them were seen taking a dip in the Ganga. He took his wife around the Sangam and also took her photo. This made everyone think that they were enjoying in Prayagraj.

After killing his wife in the hotel, he fled from there. After which Ashok told the children at home that their mother got lost somewhere in Kumbh. However, the son did not believe this story of his father. He came to Prayagraj in search of his mother. He also informed the police about this. The police showed the unidentified bodies to the son in the mortuary. In which the son started crying after seeing the body of his mother.

CCTV exposed the truth!

On February 21, Meenakshi’s family identified the body. After which the police took out CCTV footage of the hotel, Kumbh Mela area and surrounding areas. This is where Ashok’s crime came to light. The police tracked Ashok in Bairana and took him into custody.

The murder plan was hatched three months ago

When questioned by the police, the accused told that he was planning to murder his wife for the past three months. After the murder, he threw the blood-soaked clothes and weapons in the Kumbh Mela. After which he absconded.
