Uttarakhand: CM Dhami inaugurated the Shaheed Fair in Pauri, paid tribute to the brave sons

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the three-day ‘Shaheed Mela’ at Dugadda, the martyr fair site in Pauri. Shaheed Mela is organized every year in Dugadda of Yamkeshwar assembly constituency in the memory of Amar Shaheed Chandrashekhar Azad and his colleague revolutionary Bhawani Singh Rawat.

On February 25, CM Dhami reached Dandamandi helipad in Pauri district by helicopter. Where he was welcomed by MLA Renu Bisht, DM Ashish Chauhan, SSP Lokeshwar Singh and BJP officials. After this, CM Dhami first garlanded the statues of Amar Shaheed Chandrashekhar Azad, Baldev Singh Arya and Bhawani Singh Rawat and paid floral tributes. At the same time, CM Dhami inaugurated the Dugadda ‘Shaheed Mela’. After the inauguration of the fair, CM Dhami addressed the public.

CM Dhami said,

I have got a great opportunity to come among all of you on the occasion of the inauguration of this historic fair. The soil of this Dugadda still contains the stories of sacrifices during the time of independence. This historic fair of Dugadda is a special means of conveying the memories of our martyrs to the next generation. This fair will always be a source of inspiration for us. Our future generations will remember those who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the country, fought a long struggle. Their lives will inspire them.

He further said, the holy land of Uttarakhand has been the land of heroes. It is also Veerbhoomi along with Devbhoomi. Whether it is the fight of the freedom struggle, or whether it is the protection of the country’s borders. The brave sons of Uttarakhand have always worked to increase the honor and respect of Mother India by sacrificing their lives.
