Uttar Pradesh / Hardoi: Physically exploited cousin sister on the pretext of marriage

The young man sexually exploited his cousin sister by promising marriage. He agreed to the marriage after pressure was put on him. The ceremony of Godh Bharai was also done, but then the young man demanded twenty lakh rupees and a farm in dowry.

When the girl’s family refused to do so, the marriage was refused. Now the police have registered a case against the accused for sexually exploiting the girl by promising marriage.

Anand Parmar, a resident of Baruara in Pachdevra police station area, has his maternal home in a village in Shahabad Kotwali area. While going to his maternal home, he made physical relations with his cousin sister by promising marriage. When this was discovered and due to social pressure, the young man and his parents agreed to the marriage.

Godh Bharai was done on 26 January and the marriage was fixed for 20 February. On 17 February, the accused went to the girl’s house with his parents. Here he demanded twenty lakh rupees in dowry and a deed of a farm located on the road. The girl opposed this. It is alleged that the girl was beaten up, her mobile was broken and marriage was refused.

Police officer Brajesh Mishra said that on the basis of the complaint, a report has been filed against Anand Parmar, his father Raghuvir Singh and mother Mithlesh Singh. A case has been filed against Anand for physical exploitation on the pretext of marriage. A report has been filed against his parents under sections of assault, demanding dowry etc.
