Uttarakhand: Car ran over a female kanwariya, driver absconded, police on the lookout
A female Kanwaria who had come to Haridwar to take Gangajal from Sambhal in Uttar Pradesh was crushed by a car driver. After which the woman was seriously injured.

The incident happened around 5 am on Monday morning. According to the information, Dinesh, a resident of Sambhal, had reached Haridwar with his family to take Kanwar on Sunday. For rest, everyone lay down on the ground floor below the Pantdweep parking. At around 5 o’clock a car came there and ran over Dinesh’s nephew’s wife Gomti Devi.
Driver absconded after the incident
The woman was rushed to the district hospital for treatment. Seeing the woman’s condition critical, she was referred to a higher center. Where the woman is undergoing treatment. After the incident, the driver fled from the spot. On the complaint of the injured woman’s family, the police have started searching for the accused driver.
