Uttarakhand: Dhami laid the foundation stone of development projects worth Rs 3 crore 37 lakh in Khatima, also distributed cheques to the beneficiaries of various schemes
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took part in the road show in Khatima. During this, it was made grand with flower garlands, traditional costumes and cultural programs. At the same time, CM Dhami also laid the foundation stone of development works worth Rs 337.17 lakh. Apart from this, he distributed cheques to various beneficiaries.

From the premises of Tharu Government Inter College, Khatima, CM Dhami laid the foundation stone of three development works worth Rs 337.17 lakh from the District Development Authority Infrastructure Fund. Under which, the foundation stone was laid for the construction of path-way on both sides of about 1.5 km road in Kalyanpur of Rudrapur at a cost of 183.77 lakh, street lights at a cost of 67.50 lakh and parking construction work in the Collectorate premises at a cost of 84.90 lakh.
CM Dhami said that on the one hand, all the infrastructure including roads, education, health and drinking water is being strengthened from cities to remote border villages, while on the other hand, milk production, honey production, agriculture, horticulture, cultivation of aromatic plants and flowers etc. are also being encouraged with the aim of empowering the farmers economically. Apart from this, self-employment is also being promoted by implementing many schemes like Home Stay Scheme, Lakhpati Didi Scheme and Solar Self-Employment Scheme.
He said that construction of new buildings for ITI and Polytechnic Colleges, MCom and MSc classes have also been started in Government College Khatima. Not only this, a sports stadium has been constructed in Chakarpur at a cost of Rs 16 crore. Where recently many competitions of the 38th National Games were organized. Now in this stadium, not only will the local youth get high-level facilities to practice, but talented players will also get the facility to stay in the hostel.
CM Dhami said that many historical development projects are being conducted in Khatima as well as in the entire Udham Singh Nagar district. A satellite center of AIIMS Rishikesh is being constructed in Kichha at a cost of crores. Whereas, the process of developing a smart industrial town in Khurpiya is also in progress. He said that with the establishment of this industrial town, thousands of people not only from Udham Singh Nagar but from all over Uttarakhand will get employment.
At the same time, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), construction work of 1,872 EWS houses is also being done in Baghwala village of Rudrapur. Not only this, the redevelopment work of Tanakpur and Kashipur railway stations is also in progress under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. On this occasion, CM Dhami distributed cheques to the farmer beneficiaries and honored the environmental friends by presenting them with angavastra.
