The doors of Kedarnath Dham will be opened on May 2. On the holy festival of Mahashivratri, the date of opening of Baba Kedar’s doors was announced.
On the occasion of Mahashivratri today, in the presence of Rawal Bhimashankar Ling of Kedarnath, the date of opening of the doors of Shri Kedarnath Dham was decided at Panchkedar Gaddi Sthal Omkareshwar temple. The date and time of opening of the doors of the temple was announced according to the Panchang calculation by the Acharya.
For this, Rawal Bhimashankar Ling of Kedarnath Dham also reached Ukhimath. Priests Shiv Shankar Ling, Bagesh Ling and Gangadhar Ling told that worship started at 6 am in the Omkareshwar temple. Aarti was performed while offering Bal Bhog and Mahabhog to Baba Kedar. After this, in the presence of Rawal Bhimashankar Ling, the date of opening of the doors of Shri Kedarnath Dham was announced on May 2.
