Zelensky is going on a US tour
These comments came at a time when Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky may visit the White House this week. So that an agreement can be signed to give the United States access to Ukrainian mineral resources.
Trump said in his first cabinet meeting on Wednesday – President Zelensky is coming on Friday. Trump has demanded recovery from Ukraine for US aid given under the administration of former US President Joe Biden after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
The US leader has sought compensation of $500 billion which is about four times the amount given by Washington to Ukraine. The US has given $120 billion in aid. Zelensky has rejected this draft. He says he will not sign an agreement. For this, Ukrainians will have to pay for tens of generations.
Donald Trump also said that tariffs on EU products will be 25 percent in general, and indicated that tariffs on Canada and Mexico will take effect in early April. He said, “We will announce it very soon and it will be 25 percent in general, and it will be on cars and everything.”
