Uttarakhand: Railway passengers please note…waiting has started for Holi, this is the condition of trains going to Bihar, UP
People have already started preparations to go home for Holi on March 14. There is waiting in many trains going from Dehradun to Bihar, Banaras and UP since the first week of March. Railways have announced to run special trains on the festival, but no official order has come regarding this at Dehradun railway station yet.
A large number of people from other states work in Dehradun. These people return to their homes to celebrate the festival. Therefore, a large number of people have booked train tickets on Holi as well. According to the IRCTC website of Railways, Dehradun-Muzaffarpur Express 15002 going to Bihar has 117 waiting on March 1. Whereas, there is 106 waiting on March 8, 56 waiting on March 15.
On the other hand, there is 76 waiting in Upasana Express 12328 on March 5, 95 on March 8, 126 on March 12. There is waiting list in Dehradun-Banaras Express 15120 till Holi including 44 on March 1, 39 on March 2, 30 on March 3. On the other hand, seats are still available in Mussoorie Express, Jan Shatabdi Express, Shatabdi Express going towards Delhi.
