The weather will remain bad in Uttarakhand today. Meteorologists have issued a heavy rain alert for seven districts of Uttarakhand. Apart from this, snowfall is expected in areas with an altitude of 3200 meters and above.

IMD issued a heavy rain alert for seven districts of Uttarakhand

According to meteorologists, heavy rain may occur at some places in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Tehri Garhwal, Dehradun, Pithoragarh and Bageshwar districts on February 28. Apart from this, there is a possibility of heavy snowfall in high mountain areas at an altitude of 3200 to 3500 meters and above. There is a danger of landslides due to heavy rains. In such a situation, the general public has been appealed to be cautious.

District Magistrates alerted

The State Emergency Operations Center (NDMA) has instructed the District Magistrates to remain on alert mode and be vigilant. In case of any disaster, immediate relief work should be carried out. In the order, all departmental officers have been directed to remain on high alert.
