New Delhi: CM Rekha Gupta’s big statement said “I am a Baniya, every penny will be spent in the interest of the public”

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta launched a scathing attack on the opposition during the discussion on the Lieutenant Governor’s address in the Assembly and clarified the priorities of her government. She said that her government is committed to fulfilling every promise made to the people of Delhi.
Rekha Gupta accused the previous Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government and said that their tenure was spent only in campaigning, press conferences and making Instagram reels. She said that the Aam Aadmi Party has become a party that protests, which ignored development work.
Priority given to Ayushman Yojana
CM Rekha Gupta said that her government called a cabinet meeting on the day of swearing-in and implemented the pending Ayushman Bharat scheme in Delhi. This scheme is a big step to make health services accessible to the poor.
Pledge to clean Yamuna
She said that her government would give priority to the cleaning of Yamuna. After the swearing-in, her government performed Yamuna Aarti and pledged that the river would be made pollution free.
Promise of giving ₹2500 to women
Referring to her conversation with former Chief Minister Atishi, Rekha Gupta said that the opposition asked her when ₹2500 will be given to women. To this, she replied that her government will fulfill all its promises.
Serious allegations on AAP government
Rekha Gupta alleged that former CM Arvind Kejriwal promoted the works of Sheila Dikshit government as his own. She said that the AAP government spent crores of rupees on its personal publicity instead of the basic needs of the people.
Sarcasm on CAG report
The CM said that the CAG report is so detailed that it will take time for her MLAs to read it. She talked about exposing the misgovernance of Aam Aadmi Party.
“I am a baniya, I will not let money go waste”
Rekha Gupta said that the opposition made an issue of her reusing a bouquet, but she will use every penny properly. She made it clear that her government will not spend wastefully.
Rekha Gupta challenged the opposition that she will not back down from her promise of developing Delhi under any circumstances. Her government will work for the welfare of the people and will give a new direction to Delhi.
