A non-bailable warrant has been issued against Samajwadi Party (SP) MP Ruchi Vira and Congress leader Asad Maulai in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. This case is related to the violation of the Model Code of Conduct during the Lok Sabha elections 2024. It is alleged that these leaders had organized a public meeting without permission. The court has issued this warrant due to continuous non-appearance in the court.

Let us tell you that this case was registered at Nagfani police station in Moradabad. After this, now the warrant has been issued due to non-appearance in the court. The court has fixed March 11 for the next hearing of this case.

What is the whole matter?

According to the allegation, SP MP Ruchi Vira was holding a public meeting of about 50-60 people in the Civil Lines area of ​​​​Moradabad on 7-8 February 2024. During this, the City Magistrate reached there and objected to holding a public meeting without permission. There was also an argument between Ruchi Vira and the City Magistrate on this. The administration considered it a violation of the model code of conduct and a case was registered against him.

Political journey of Ruchi Veera

The Samajwadi Party contested the Lok Sabha elections 2024 in alliance with the Congress. In this election, the SP cut the ticket of sitting MP S.T. Hasan and made Ruchi Veera the candidate, who won.

Ruchi Veera was born on 2 September 1961 and is originally from Bijnor. She started her political career with the Samajwadi Party and was also elected MLA from Bijnor. She is considered close to SP leader Azam Khan. She has a degree in Arts from Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University. According to reports, she has assets worth Rs 25 crore. However, no official statement has come from both the leaders on this matter yet.
