Uttarakhand: Masked men opened fire at Khanpur MLA Umesh Kumar’s office, the incident was captured on CCTV

Masked miscreants fired several rounds outside the camp office of Haridwar’s Khanpur MLA Umesh Kumar in Roorkee. This created panic among the employees present there. The entire incident was captured in the CCTV installed outside the office. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and is searching for the accused.
Firing at Khanpur MLA Umesh Kumar’s office
The incident took place early Thursday morning. According to the information, masked miscreants riding a bike fired several rounds in the air at the camp office of Khanpur MLA Umesh Kumar in Roorkee. During this, panic spread among the employees present there. The employees informed the MLA and Haridwar police about the firing.
Incident captured in CCTV
On receiving the information, the police also reached the spot and searched the CCTV. The miscreants were captured firing in the CCTV. The police is currently raiding in search of the accused. A complaint has been given to the police by the MLA’s personal secretary Zubair Kazmi regarding the matter.
Search for the accused continues
Regarding the case, SP Rural Shekhar Chandra Suyal said that on the basis of the complaint, a case has been registered against unknown miscreants. With the help of CCTV, the masked miscreants will soon be identified and arrested. The SP has assured to reveal the case soon.
Suspicion deepens on Champion’s supporters
On January 26, former MLA Kunwar Pranav Champion along with his supporters entered Umesh Kumar’s office and opened fire. After which Champion is in police custody. After Champion went to jail, a war of words was going on between the supporters of both on social media. In such a situation, suspicion of firing is also deepening on Champion’s supporters. However, the police is investigating the matter from every angle.
