Big action against illegal madrassas in Uttarakhand, 4 sealed in Vikasnagar, action continues

Physical verification of madrasas located under police station Vikasnagar area was done by a joint team of local administration, police, minority commission and madrasa board sub-district magistrate Vikasnagar Vinod Kumar. Meanwhile, four madrasas located in Dhakrani in Vikasnagar area, which were being run without registration and against the rules, have been sealed.
Joint police team seals 4 illegal madrasas
The joint team, while taking action against illegal madrasas, has sealed three rooms of Madrasa Daare Akram village Dhakrani, two rooms of Madrasa Masihul Uloom Rahmania village Dhakrani, one room of Madrasa Dawatul Haq village Nawabgarh and one room of Faizal Uloom village Nawabgarh.
Police said such action will continue in future as well
Police said that four illegal madrasas and an illegally constructed mosque Abdul Basit Hadeesan in ward 11 of Dhakrani village were also sealed by the team. He said that such action will continue in future as well.
Minority Welfare Department and Police are identifying illegal madrasas
The Uttarakhand government has given the responsibility of identifying illegal madrasas to the Uttarakhand Police and Minority Welfare Department. After this, the LIU unit of Uttarakhand Police is searching the information of madrasas across the state. 35 madrasas are being run illegally in the capital Dehradun, 129 in Udham Singh Nagar and 26 in Haldwani of Nainital district.
