Bihar: Muslims have blocked the way for 150 Hindu families to go to their homes, even their daughters are not getting married

The Muslim side has blocked the way to the houses of about 150 Hindu families in the city. People have appealed to the SDM and the District Officer regarding this matter. People say that the Muslim people have private land all around the village, due to which their sons and daughters are not able to get married due to lack of road to Sharma Toli village. At the same time, the SDM court had also given a decision to give the way to the Hindu side, but that decision was changed in the civil court. What is the whole matter, let’s see in the special report of Kumar Praveen from Purnia.
There is no government road to reach the houses of about 150 families in Sharma Toli of Shadipur Bhutha village of Baisi block of Purnia. The people there used to go to the Tola through a private road for the last several years. But due to Muslim settlements all around and private land of Muslims, those people closed the way to the village. A 100 meter long road has been closed due to just 12 decimals of land.
The victims say that they had given 100000 rupees to the land owner for the road. But later due to the pressure of the society, the land owner returned the money and did not give the road. The situation now is that the road to the village has been closed from all sides. Due to which their sons and daughters are not getting married. Even if someone falls ill, it has become difficult to take them to the hospital. The villagers even alleged that the Muslim side now prevents them from doing puja and playing loudspeakers.
At the same time, the people of Sharma Tola had complained to the SDM court regarding the demand for this road. The SDM court had also given a decision in their favor. But later this decision was changed in the civil court and the decision was given in favor of the Muslim side. Now the people have given an application to the District Officer Kundan Kumar and demanded a way to go to the village. At the same time, SDM Kumari Tausi of Baisi said that it is written in the law that if there are more than 100 families, then their road cannot be blocked even if it is a private road. There are more than 150 families here, so how can anyone block their path. For this, letters were sent to the police station and the zonal officer many times, but no solution has been found till date.
When asked about this, the head of Shadipur Bhutha, Sabnoor Alam, said that some people are not giving the path because of their private land, but there was talk of giving them the path from the other side. But the Sharma people are not ready to take the path from the other side. At the same time, he said that the allegation on the Muslim side of stopping loudspeakers and worship is wrong. Some people are doing politics behind this.
Anyway, the dispute over the path in Shadipur Bhutha Sharma Tola has now started taking a political color. People of both the communities are accusing each other. At the same time, hundreds of families are troubled due to the lack of a path. Sick people are neither able to go to the hospital nor are their sons and daughters able to get married. Even children have trouble going to school. In such a situation, it remains to be seen how long the district administration and local public representatives will take to resolve this issue.
