Crackdown on adulterators in Uttarakhand, SOP issued, heavy fine will be imposed, six years imprisonment

Before Holi, preparations are on to crack down on adulterators in Uttarakhand. The Food Safety Department has issued an SOP. According to the SOP, a fine of Rs 5 lakh will be imposed on adulterators. At the same time, there will be a jail term of six years.

Food Commissioner Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar said that there is strict vigil on the border. Also, on-spot test samples are being taken. Strict monitoring has been started through vigilance cell and surveillance.

Additional Commissioner and Drug Controller Tajbar Jaggi said that a continuous campaign is being run to stop adulteration. An SOP has been issued.
