Uttar Pradesh: The nephew had fled with his wife, the angry husband slit his sister’s throat with a knife, the body was found in a sack
A strange case has come to light in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. The nephew ran away with his wife. The uncle, enraged by this, killed his elder sister (nephew’s mother) by slitting her throat with a knife. After the murder, he closed the body in a plastic bag. After this, he threw it in a heap of garbage lying in an empty plot. The police arrested the accused on Monday night.
Pratap Singh, a resident of Thana Trans Yamuna Colony, has two sons. Kuldeep and Bhura. Bhura’s maternal uncle Ravi lives in a rented house in the same locality with his wife Roshni and a child. Bhura had a love affair with Ravi’s wife. Bhura had run away with his aunt Roshni. Ravi was enraged by this.
On Sunday night, Ravi slit the throat of Bhura’s mother (his real elder sister) Geeta Devi (45) with a knife and closed her body in a plastic bag and threw it in an empty plot nearby. On Monday morning, when the neighborhood woke up, sensation spread after seeing the body in the bag. The hands and feet of the deceased were tied with a rope. Police was informed. DCP City Suraj Rai reached the spot. The matter was revealed during investigation.
Signs of struggle found in the room
Ravi had absconded after locking his room. When the police opened the room, they found broken bangles in the room. This deepened the suspicion on Ravi. Police arrested him from Delhi on Monday night. It is suspected that Ravi had called his sister Geeta to the room on some pretext. After this, he strangled her with a towel. Then slit her throat with a knife. He tied her hands and legs with a rope and threw her in a plot in a plastic bag. DCP City Suraj Rai said that the accused has been arrested. He will be sent to jail on Tuesday.
Bhura had run away with her twice
The deceased’s husband Pratap Singh said that he works as a labourer. His brother-in-law Ravi lived in Dhanauli. A year ago, he came to live in a rented house with his wife Roshni and child. Pratap Singh said that Bhura had run away with Roshni on February 16. During the search, both were caught from Ballabhgarh, Haryana. Then Roshni refused to come. On 24th February, Bhura was brought to Agra. Roshni was also brought after being persuaded. On 28th February, Roshni again went with Bhura.
