Uttarakhand: CS Radha Raturi instructed the District Magistrates to take ownership of education schemes in the districts

Motivating for the rejuvenation of school education in districts, Chief Secretary Mrs. Radha Raturi has directed the District Magistrates to take ownership of education related schemes. CS Mrs. Raturi was reviewing the Sampark Yojana related to the utility of Teaching Learning Materials (TLM) and Digital Resources under Samagra Shiksha and Sampark Foundation in the districts in secondary education at the Secretariat.

Under the MoU between Samagra Shiksha Uttarakhand and Sampark Foundation, since the year 2014, under the Sampark Yojana, efforts are being made to upgrade schools to smart classes in 11479 schools of 95 blocks of 13 districts of the state through digital resources, TV devices Smart LED TV, Sampark Smartshala FLN and Science TV devices (with more than 1000 offline content), videos etc.

Instructing all DMs to compulsorily review the Sampark Yojana once a month, Chief Secretary Mrs. Radha Raturi has instructed for continuous monitoring of this scheme through DM Dashboard. She has instructed the District Magistrates to review the maximum utility of Sampark Yojana in schools with DEO and BEO. CS has also instructed to ensure monitoring of this scheme through Vidya Samiksha Kendra. Mrs. Radha Raturi has instructed the Education Department to issue a circular to District Education Officers and Principal DIETs for review of the utility of Sampark Yojana and active participation in its implementation.

While giving instructions to focus on the implementation of Sampark Yojana in Champawat, Sitarganj, Pauri, Khirsu, Didihat and Ukhimath blocks, Chief Secretary Mrs. Raturi has instructed the concerned officials that technology-driven learning tools will have to be integrated to enhance the quality of education so that the students of the state can get an improved and interactive educational experience. The Chief Secretary has given instructions to make this scheme a mega campaign in the field of education. She has given instructions to ensure active participation of block education officers, public representatives, gram panchayats, parents as well as all the people in this.

A total of 4337 schools including 3237 primary schools and 1100 upper primary schools across the state have been given coverage of Sampark Yojana. Thus, 25 percent of the schools of the state have been upgraded to smart classes under the scheme.

During the meeting, Chief Secretary Mrs. Radha Raturi also released the Teachers Report Card prepared by the Education Department and Sampark Foundation. Secretary Mr. Ravinath Raman along with the Education Department officials and all the District Magistrates were present in the meeting through virtual medium.

Uttarakhand / Dehradun: A heart wrenching incident has come to light from Vikasnagar in Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand. Where a young man killed his own mother and fled from the spot. Actually this incident is of 3rd August. Where Herbertpur police got information about a fire in a house in Rambagh area. When the police reached the spot, they found the burnt body of an old woman inside. The owner of the house, Sanjay Singh Rana, identified the body as his wife Suresho Devi alias Vandana Rana. Earlier it seemed that the woman died due to burning in the fire but the investigation revealed the case of murder. In such a situation, today the police has arrested him. Murdered mother when he did not get money for drugs The next day of the incident, the husband of the deceased, Sanjay Singh, while giving a complaint to the police, told that his son Manmohan Singh used to live with his mother. He was addicted to drugs and often used to demand money from his mother. There used to be a lot of quarrel between the two when the mother refused. The father told that Manmohan was missing from home since the incident. After which, he expressed doubt that maybe his son had committed the murder and set the room on fire. The police already suspected the son The police immediately registered a case against the son and started investigation. After which, on the night of 14 August, the police arrested Manmohan Singh from Kulhal area. During interrogation, Manmohan Singh confessed his crime. He told that he has been addicted to drugs for a long time. He has already gone to jail in drug smuggling and Arms Act cases. On the day of the incident, he had asked his mother for money for drugs. But his mother refused to give him money and also did not let him go out of the house. He fled with the money after the murder After which, Manmohan Singh, in anger, attacked his mother’s neck with a wooden stick kept in the house. Due to which she died on the spot. After the murder, Manmohan Singh wrapped the body in a mattress and set it on fire so that it appeared that the woman died due to burning. Manmohan fled on a motorcycle with 30 thousand rupees kept in the cupboard of the house and his clothes.
