Uttarakhand: The history of Uttarakhand movement will be taught in schools, Dhami cabinet took the decision

An important cabinet meeting of the Dhami cabinet was held today. About 17 proposals were approved in this meeting. In which a big decision was taken on the support price of sugarcane along with excise. Along with this, the Dhami cabinet has decided to teach the history of the Uttarakhand movement in books. Along with this, many big decisions have been taken by the Dhami cabinet.
Dhami Cabinet approves these 17 proposals
- The Dhami Cabinet has decided to transfer about 1354 acres of land of Prag Farm in Udham Singh Nagar to SIDCUL for developing Green Field Township. In the year 2014, the state government received a total of 7039 hectares i.e. 1972 acres of ceiling land in Gadariabagh, Noorpur, Panthapura, Rajpura, Bandia and Laxmipur villages of Udham Singh Nagar, Tehsil Kichha, out of which 264.47 acres in Gadariabagh village, 236.38 acres in Noorpur, 137.06 acres in Panthapura, 272. 66 acres in Rajpura, 178.02 acres in Bandia and 265.31 acres in Laxmipur village, thus a total of 1354.14 acres i.e. 548.2388 hectares of land (Category 5-1, New Fallow) The cabinet has approved the proposal to transfer the fee in favour of SIDCUL for developing a green field township.
- The departmental structure was not reorganized in the Stamp and Registration Department after the year 2005 and 2006. At the time of formation of the state, the revenue receipt was about 90 crores and the number of documents was about 81000, which is currently Rs 2700 crore and 50 lakh respectively. At present, many innovations are in progress in the department in line with the government’s commitment to simplify, resolve and provide basic public facilities. Such as paperless registration, virtual registration system and Aadhaar authentication system are to be implemented to curb fraud.
- There is a lot of movement of the general public in the Sub Registrar Office. Important records of their ownership are maintained in the offices. Therefore, to provide quick service at the office level, along with technical efficiency, 9 posts of officers and 29 posts of supporting personnel were approved. The cabinet has approved the Trout Promotion Scheme in the Fisheries Department. In comparison to various fish species in the hilly districts of the state, trout fish has the highest growth rate, due to which the livelihood of the working fishermen is being managed better. With the aim of providing full support to the complainants in the trap proceedings of the Vigilance Establishment, a decision has also been taken to develop the operating rules of the Revolving Fund in the Vigilance Department as a government order.
- The Group A and Group B Service Rules 2025 of the State Property Department have been approved. In the State Property Department, Uttarakhand, the Group A Service Rules 1988 of the Uttar Pradesh State Property Department and the Group B and C Service Rules, 1983 of the Uttar Pradesh State Property Department are prevalent in relation to the posts of Group B. Now, Uttarakhand State Property Department Group A and B Service Rules 2025 is being promulgated for the posts of Group A (Chief Administrative Officer (C.Gre.) and Chief Administrative Officer) and Group B (Senior Administrative Officer and Administrative Officer) of the State Property Department, which has been approved by the Cabinet.
- A decision has been taken regarding the creation of posts of Ministerial Cadre under Directorate, Pension and Entitlement, Uttarakhand. In view of the departmental work requirement under the Ministerial Cadre under Directorate, Pension and Entitlement, Uttarakhand, by dedicating 01 out of 02 posts of Assistant Accountant created in certain sub-treasuries (in which work can be done by only 01 Assistant Accountant), the proposal to create 13 new posts of Junior Assistant in relation to the dedicated post has been approved.
- Chief Minister’s Self Help Group Empowerment Scheme was started in the year 2016 for the welfare of women self-help groups formed under Uttarakhand State Rural Livelihood Mission of Rural Development Department. The following five announcements made by the Chief Minister were approved for the purpose of women empowerment and to cover various components under the said women self-help groups/village organizations and cluster organizations. For the purpose of women empowerment, an amount of Rs. 2.30 crore will be provided under the Chief Minister’s Women Self Help Group Empowerment Scheme for various workshops, programs and Mahila Samman program organized in the districts.
- An amount of Rs. 15.40 crore will be provided for conducting business activities of women in Cluster Level Organization (CLF). For the purpose of making Lakhpati Didi, an amount of Rs. 00 lakh will be provided for each center established in Hawalbagh of Almora and Kotdwar of Pauri district for Marketing Product Development and Quality Control Center through Rural Business Incubator RBI.
- For providing tablets to 500 e-book keepers of 140 model clusters in the first phase for digital MIS, an amount of Rs 100 lakh will be provided. For organizing 2 Saras Melas to be organized in the state at the national level, an amount of Rs 11.12 lakh per fair will be provided as matching grant.
- The cabinet also approved the inclusion of the history of the Uttarakhand movement and various dimensions of folk culture in the textbooks. It has been decided to develop/include Our Heritage and Personalities as a supporting booklet in the curriculum for classes 6 to 8.
- The cabinet has also taken a decision regarding the notification of the Uttarakhand Indian Civil Security Rules, 2024. The Dhami cabinet has also decided to add number-10 after number 9 in the existing regulation of Chapter-Twelfth in the Uttarakhand School Education Council Regulations, 2009.
- A decision has been taken regarding the adoption/implementation of the Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) promulgated by the Government of India within the state. A decision has been taken regarding the promulgation of the Uttarakhand Prison Department, Deputy Inspector General of Prisons, Senior Superintendent of Prisons and Superintendent of Prison Service Rules, 2025. The Dhami government has also taken a decision regarding fixing the state advised price and the rate of sugarcane development contribution (commission) for sugarcane to be purchased by the sugar mills of the state in the crushing season 2024-25.
