Prime Minister Narendra Modi is coming to Uttarakhand once again. He will worship Maa Ganga wearing the traditional dress ‘Chapkan’ on March 6 at Mukhaba, the winter residence of Gangotri Dham in Uttarkashi district. These dresses will be presented to the Prime Minister by the Gangotri Temple Committee. On the other hand, the Prime Minister will also be presented the traditional dress ‘Mirjai’ in Harshil. Gangotri Temple Committee Secretary Suresh Semwal gave information in this regard on Tuesday.
He told that the Tirtha Purohit worships wearing Chapkan at Mukhaba, the winter residence of Maa Ganga. Chapkan is considered a symbol of respect and sacred dress of Mukhaba village. This coat-like dress is very warm.
In Mukhaba, the villagers will also perform Raso dance in front of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Raso dance is the special identity of the border district Uttarkashi. Tirtha Purohit and folk singer Rajnikant Semwal told that the villagers are continuously preparing for the Raso dance. Sulochana Devi, who was selected to participate in Raso dance, said that it is her good fortune that she will present a traditional folk dance in front of the Prime Minister.
The force on duty for the Prime Minister’s visit is on alert
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is coming to Uttarakhand. Doon Police held a briefing on Tuesday regarding security arrangements in Dehradun. During this, the officers gave necessary guidelines. During his visit to Uttarakhand, Prime Minister Modi will reach Jolly Grant Airport on March 6.
From here he will leave for Uttarkashi district. After returning to Doon from Uttarkashi, the Prime Minister will leave for Delhi. On Tuesday, SSP Ajay Singh gave necessary guidelines to the force deployed for his security in Doon. He said that the employees should reach the spot on time and coordinate with the duty in-charge. He asked to do checking to search for suspicious persons in the areas around Jolly Grant.
