Uttarakhand / Dehradun: Fraud of Rs 1 crore 20 lakh in the name of getting land for a teacher, case registered

The cases of land scams in the capital are not stopping. While the investigation of the registry scam is still going on, another case of land fraud has come to light. A teacher has been cheated of crores of rupees in the name of getting land in Sudhowala under Thana Premnagar area. On the basis of the complaint of the victim, Thana Premnagar Police has registered two cases against an accused. The police is investigating the matter. According to the police, several cases of land fraud are already registered against the accused.

Land Fraud Coordination Committee received complaint

Anuradha Biljwan resident Shimla Bypass Road has lodged a complaint with the Land Fraud Coordination Committee. She has said in the complaint that she is currently working as a teacher in a remote school in Uttarkashi district. Santosh Gairola resident Purola Uttarkashi has told that he thought of buying land in Dehradun with his relatives. To get the land, he contacted Ramnaresh Nautiyal resident Yamuna Colony.

Fraud of more than 1 crore in the name of land

Ramnaresh showed two plots of 540-540 yards in Sudhowala. The deal for both the plots was fixed for Rs 1 crore 20 lakh. On 20 April 2021, he reached Vikasnagar to get the registry done. Documents were submitted for registration in the Sub Registrar Office I. Ramnaresh said that the registry will be available in a month. After which the boundary wall can be done. During this time, the victims gave Rs 1 crore 20 lakh to Ramnaresh.

Accused of threatening on asking for money back

Despite submitting the documents and giving Rs 1 crore 20 lakh, the registry did not come for many days. When Ramnaresh was talked to on this, he did not give a clear answer. When the victims got suspicious, they met the lawyer who did the registration. The lawyer said that Ramnaresh is a fake person. He has not even paid the stamp fee. When the victims inquired in the tehsil, it was found that the land does not belong to Ramnaresh. After this, when the victims contacted Ramnaresh, it is alleged that he started threatening them.

Mohan Singh, in-charge of Premnagar police station, has said that-

A complaint of land fraud has been received from Anuradha Biljwan and Santosh Gairola. On the basis of the complaint, two cases have been registered against the accused Ramnaresh in Premnagar police station under various sections including fraud. Police is investigating the matter.
