International Yoga Festival concludes in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand sends a ‘health’ message to the world

The International Yoga Festival concluded today in the Yoga City Rishikesh. Tourism and Culture Minister Satpal Maharaj attended the event as the chief guest. Satpal Maharaj said that Rishikesh is not only the gateway to the Char Dham Yatra, but it is also the international capital of world yoga and spirituality. In this Devbhoomi, the sages and saints have done hard sadhana and discovered such sutras of yoga and pranayama for health protection, which have proved to be a boon for human civilization.

He said that in this event about 410 participants from the country and abroad practiced yoga every day. 38 foreign sadhaks from different countries also participated in the Yoga Mahotsav. Uttarakhand is not only the place of the holy Ganga, but also the origin of yoga. Yoga and Ganga are symbols of India’s cultural and spiritual heritage.
