Uttar Pradesh: Journalist shot dead in public in Sitapur, attackers escaped after committing the crime

In the district, the attackers shot and killed social worker Raghavendra Bajpai. First they hit his bike and then shot him dead on the road. The attackers fled after committing the crime. As soon as the information of the incident was received, there was a stir. Raghavendra was also associated with a Hindi daily.

Raghavendra Bajpai was brutally murdered when he was passing through Hempur railway crossing in Imalia Sultanpur police station area. The family members say that on Saturday he received a call from someone, after which he immediately left the house on his bike and after that he was informed about his murder.

Regarding the case, the top police officials have inspected the spot and started an in-depth investigation and have started efforts to arrest the accused. Additional Superintendent of Police (South) Dr. Praveen Ranjan said that the force of many police stations has been deployed to reveal the incident. The incident will be revealed soon. On the other hand, regarding the allegations of the family members, he said that investigation will be done, after that further action will be taken on the basis of investigation.

Here, the news of Raghavendra’s murder caused a sensation in the district. According to sources, he was also active against the mining scam. The family has suspected this to be the reason behind the murder. The police is investigating the matter.
