Bihar: Encounter in Ara Tanishq showroom robbery case, police shot 2 criminals
Criminals carried out a big robbery in broad daylight in the town police station area of Arrah, Bihar. Seven armed miscreants raided the Tanishq Jewellery showroom located at Sheeshmahal Chowk on Monday morning and looted jewellery worth lakhs of rupees. According to police sources, the police have chased away the criminals in this case. During this, there was a shootout between the police and the miscreants. According to the information received, two criminals have been shot in the encounter between the police and the criminals in the Diara area. After the incident, Shahabad DIG Satyaprakash and STF SP Pramod Kumar have reached Bhojpur. Where the gold recovered from the feet of the accused is being counted.
How did the robbery happen?
According to eyewitnesses, the criminals entered the showroom at around 10:15 am posing as customers. In a short while, they took the salesman and the guard at gunpoint. On protesting, the salesman Rohit Kumar was beaten up, while the security guard Manoj Thakur posted at the gate was threatened and his licensed rifle was snatched. After this, the miscreants looted both the floors for about 22 minutes.
After the incident, the criminals fled towards Chapra
After the robbery, the criminals very cleverly fled from the spot. According to police sources, the criminals have fled towards Chapra. One of the six miscreants involved in this robbery was wearing a mask, while the rest of the criminals were without masks. As soon as the incident was reported, Bhojpur SP Raj, ASP Parichay Kumar and other senior police officers reached the spot and started investigation.
Raids to arrest other accused
The two accused who were shot in this incident have been identified as Vishal Gupta, son of Bhuneshwar Prasad, resident of Dighwara, Saran, and Kunal Kumar, son of Pradeep Rai, resident of Semra, Sonpur. The police have also recovered two pistols, 10 cartridges, jewelry looted from Tanishq showroom kept in two big bags and a Pulsar motorcycle from them. A team has been immediately formed and raids are being conducted to arrest other accused involved in this case.
