Another scandal of Uttarakhand CM’s former OSD came to light, cheated a businessman of Rs 70 lakh, had duped many people earlier too
8 people including former OSD (Officer on Special Duty) of Uttarakhand Chief Minister have been accused of cheating a Delhi businessman of lakhs of rupees by promising to get him a government tender. On the complaint of the victim, the police have registered a case against eight people in Dehradun Nagar Kotwali. This gang has been accused of cheating crores of rupees from businessmen of many states including Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan, in which Nagar Kotwali Police is going to file a charge sheet in the court soon.
In fact, Manik Khullar, a resident of New Delhi, had complained to the police in this matter. He had told in his complaint that his acquaintance Ashu More is posted as ASI driver in Delhi Traffic Police. Ashu, along with Anjenila More, Shivam Vats, Saurabh Vats, Nandani Vats, Karanveer, Shahrukh Khan and former OSD of Chief Minister PC Upadhyay, had deceived the victim by promising to get him a government tender for medical kits.
Accused Saurabh Vats had described himself as the assistant of the Principal Secretary of Uttarakhand Government. The accused had told the victim that they can get him offline tenders, for which he will have to invest Rs 30 lakh initially. After this, tenders worth Rs 1.5 crore each will be given in all 13 districts of the state, the total value of which will be Rs 19 crore 50 lakh.
After this, PC Upadhyay held a meeting with the victim in the secretariat and got several documents signed to give the tender. In the name of this tender, a total of Rs 48 lakh was taken from the victim in March 2023. After that, when there was a delay in getting the tender, the accused lured another tender for solar street light supply. Lakhs of rupees were taken for this too. In this way, the accused cheated the victim of a total of Rs 70 lakh.
On the basis of the complaint of the victim Manik Khullar, the police is investigating the matter by registering a case against Ashu More, Anjenila More, Shivam Vats, Saurabh Vats, Nandani Vats, Karanveer, Shahrukh Khan and PC Upadhyay under various sections including fraud. Also, cases have been filed against the accused in the past as well, in some of which charge sheets will be filed in the court soon. – Chandrabhan Adhikari, Kotwali Nagar Incharge
