Samajwadi Party (SP) leader and Azamgarh MP Dharmendra Yadav on Tuesday demanded the restoration of the old pension scheme in the Lok Sabha. He said that this would secure the future of government employees and their families. Dharmendra Yadav described the current pension scheme as harmful for the employees. Citing the fluctuations in the stock market, he expressed concern over the new pension scheme. He also mentioned the promise of SP President Akhilesh Yadav that the old pension scheme would be implemented if his government is formed.
Azamgarh MP Dharmendra Yadav raised this issue during Zero Hour. He said that the current pension scheme is injustice to the employees. Despite the government’s new integrated pension scheme, the employees are not satisfied and are protesting. Yadav said that the employees do not want to invest their entire earnings in the stock market. Citing the example of the volatility of the stock market, he said that it is not a safe investment. On the contrary, the old pension scheme provides financial security to the employees and their families.
Dharmendra Yadav reiterated the statement of SP President Akhilesh Yadav. He said that Akhilesh Yadav has promised that if the SP comes to power in the state or the Center, the old pension scheme will be brought back. The MP urged the government to pay heed to the demands of the employees and implement the old pension scheme. He said that this will stop exploitation of employees and provide them financial security.
He stressed that it is the government’s responsibility to protect the interests of employees. He urged the government to address the concerns of employees and secure their future by re-implementing the old pension scheme. He said that this would be justice for the employees. He also said that the old pension scheme was a reliable system for employees, so the government should seriously consider it.
