Garhwal MP Baluni met Delhi CM Rekha Gupta, listed the problems of Uttarakhandis, made this demand

Anil Baluni, BJP MP from Garhwal Lok Sabha seat of Uttarakhand, met Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta at her residence on Monday, March 10. During this, Anil Baluni congratulated CM Rekha Gupta on becoming the Chief Minister of Delhi and apprised her of the problems of citizens of Uttarakhand origin living in Delhi.
MP Baluni demanded the construction of a ghat as per the tradition of Uttarakhand at the Nigam Bodh Ghat cremation ground. He said that due to the rising water level of Yamuna during the rainy season, there is a lot of difficulty in cremation on the banks of the ghat. Apart from this, the issue of smooth starting of Garhwali, Kumaoni and Jaunsari Academy was raised.
MP Baluni requested to allocate a park in New Delhi in the name of Uttarakhand Udyan so that cultural festivals of Uttarakhand, promotion and exhibition of local products, gathering of folk tradition programs, mountain festivals and fairs can be organized.
Along with this, he demanded to run luxury buses of Delhi Transport from Delhi to Haldwani, Nainital, Corbett City Ramnagar, Kotdwar, Pauri, Haridwar, Dehradun and Rishikesh. This will provide convenience to the passengers of Uttarakhand and the tourists and pilgrims going from Delhi to Uttarakhand. He also demanded a plot of land for the residence of the patients of AIIMS, Gangaram etc. hospitals and their attendants coming from Uttarakhand to Delhi.
