Pakistan again faced international humiliation, its ambassador to America was sent back from the airport itself

Pakistan has once again faced international humiliation. Pakistan’s ambassador to Turkmenistan, Ahsan Wagan, was going to the US on a private visit, where his entry was stopped. Despite having a valid visa, he was sent back from Los Angeles Airport. According to reports, Pakistan’s Foreign Office said that the ambassador had all the necessary documents, but still he was not allowed to enter the US. The report quoted sources as saying that ‘controversial visa references’ were found in the US immigration system, due to which he was not allowed to enter the US. However, no detailed information has been given about these visa references or any specific security concern.

Pakistan’s Foreign Office has expressed surprise and dissatisfaction over this incident. They say that the ambassador had all the necessary travel documents and sending him back is an unexpected and inappropriate step. Pakistani officials believe that this incident may be due to a problem in processing and interpretation of documents, and not a deliberate violation of US immigration laws. This incident shows the strict immigration laws of America.

The situation is also complicated because high-level diplomats and government officials usually have special diplomatic passports, which are subject to different visa and entry requirements than ordinary citizens. Such incidents can affect diplomatic relations, especially if they are not handled transparently. Ahsan Wagan was going on a specific diplomatic mission through the US, so his return is a significant setback.

Wagan has also lived in Nepal

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Secretary Amina Baloch were informed of the incident. The Pakistani Foreign Ministry has directed its consulate in Los Angeles to investigate the matter. According to the report, Wagan may be recalled to Islamabad to clear the situation. Wagan has held several important positions in Pakistan’s foreign service. Before being promoted as ambassador to Turkmenistan, Wagan served as Second Secretary at the Pakistani Embassy in Kathmandu.
