Registrar Kanungo arrested while taking bribe in Uttarakhand, Vigilance caught him red handed taking bribe of Rs 3500

Bribery cases are coming to light every day in Uttarakhand. The latest case has come to light from Udham Singh Nagar district. Here the vigilance team has arrested the registrar Kanungo posted in Bajpur tehsil. The registrar Kanungo was demanding bribe in exchange for getting the name registered. He has been caught red handed taking a bribe of Rs 3500 today. At the same time, now the vigilance team is interrogating the accused.

In fact, the Haldwani vigilance team has caught the registrar Kanungo Mohan Singh posted in Bajpur tehsil of Udham Singh Nagar district red handed while taking bribe. According to the vigilance team, a person had lodged a complaint on toll free number 1046 that the registrar Kanungo in Bajpur tehsil of Udham Singh Nagar is demanding bribe in the name of getting the permit registered. On this complaint, the vigilance team was activated and an investigation was conducted. In which all the facts and allegations were found to be correct.

Bribe demanded for entering name in the register

On the other hand, during investigation, the complainant was having a land dispute with someone regarding the land located in Kelakheda. After the decision was given in favor of the complainant by the Kumaon Commissioner, a person was sent to the tehsil to enter the name in the register, but it is alleged that in the name of entering the name, Registrar Kanungo Mohan Singh demanded money from him.

Today, the Vigilance Trap Team arrested Registrar Kanungo Mohan Singh, currently resident of Kashipur, from Bajpur Tehsil red handed while taking a bribe of Rs 3500 from the complainant. Now, the Vigilance team has started further action including questioning the accused.

Actually this incident is of 3rd August. Where Herbertpur police got information about a fire in a house in Rambagh area. When the police reached the spot, they found the burnt body of an old woman inside. The owner of the house, Sanjay Singh Rana, identified the body as his wife Suresho Devi alias Vandana Rana. Earlier it seemed that the woman died due to burning in the fire but the investigation revealed the case of murder. In such a situation, today the police has arrested him. Murdered mother when he did not get money for drugs The next day of the incident, the husband of the deceased, Sanjay Singh, while giving a complaint to the police, told that his son Manmohan Singh used to live with his mother. He was addicted to drugs and often used to demand money from his mother. There used to be a lot of quarrel between the two when the mother refused. The father told that Manmohan was missing from home since the incident. After which, he expressed doubt that maybe his son had committed the murder and set the room on fire. The police already suspected the son The police immediately registered a case against the son and started investigation. After which, on the night of 14 August, the police arrested Manmohan Singh from Kulhal area. During interrogation, Manmohan Singh confessed his crime. He told that he has been addicted to drugs for a long time. He has already gone to jail in drug smuggling and Arms Act cases. On the day of the incident, he had asked his mother for money for drugs. But his mother refused to give him money and also did not let him go out of the house. He fled with the money after the murder After which, Manmohan Singh, in anger, attacked his mother’s neck with a wooden stick kept in the house. Due to which she died on the spot. After the murder, Manmohan Singh wrapped the body in a mattress and set it on fire so that it appeared that the woman died due to burning. Manmohan fled on a motorcycle with 30 thousand rupees kept in the cupboard of the house and his clothes.
