BJP is the biggest land mafia party… Akhilesh Yadav accuses- being forced to transfer land

Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government was patronising land mafia and criminals in Uttar Pradesh. In a statement issued here, Akhilesh Yadav said that incidents of land grabbing have increased under the BJP rule, the poor are being harassed and forced to transfer their land.

He said, BJP is the biggest land mafia party. Since coming to power, BJP leaders are forcibly getting land transferred to their names by intimidating the poor. The SP president alleged that land registration in several districts, including Ayodhya, exposes the reality of the government’s land policies. He said, now even retired army officers are not being spared. Land mafia are occupying their properties, attacking and threatening them. The law and order situation has deteriorated.

Failed to control crimes

The SP chief cited an incident in which a retired brigadier was allegedly attacked for protesting against illegal occupation of his land. He said that the victims are not getting justice. Akhilesh Yadav accused the BJP government of failing to control crimes like murder, robbery, rape and land encroachment. He alleged, “The situation is worsening day by day and land mafias are flourishing under government protection in every district.

Anarchy prevails in the entire state

Referring to the incidents in Ayodhya and other areas, Yadav claimed that government-backed encroachment is depriving farmers and the poor of their land. He alleged, the government itself is buying land from the poor and farmers at throwaway prices and handing it over to its favourites. The SP chief said that anarchy prevails in the entire state under the BJP rule and the administration is working under political pressure and ignoring the complaints of the poor and the helpless.

He said, public anger is increasing against the policies and governance of the BJP. The public will completely uproot the arrogance of power of the BJP in the 2027 assembly elections.
