Uttar Pradesh: 103-year-old Gurdeep released from jail before Holi, became victim of conspiracy by his sons

103-year-old prisoner Gurdeep Singh, who was imprisoned in Shahjahanpur in a case filed by his sons, got a chance to breathe fresh air before Holi. He was released from jail on Wednesday. With the efforts of the jail superintendent, Sahayog Sanstha has arranged for his bail by lobbying for him. On coming to know about it, his sons created a problem, but they could not succeed.
Banda’s Basantapur resident Gurmeet Singh, upset with the bad habits of his sons, had transferred his land to the Gurudwara. Angered by this, the sons hatched a conspiracy against him. A year ago, the sons filed a case against their father accusing him of entering the house and abusing him. The police arrested him and sent him to jail. After this, the sons turned their backs on him.
The jail superintendent helped
When Gurdeep needed everyday things, he contacted the jail superintendent Mijaji Lal. Then he was provided clothes, sweaters etc. to wear. The jail superintendent contacted the voluntary organization Sahayog to get the prisoner Gurdeep Singh released. The organization got the prisoner released on bail from the court within 15 days. When Gurdeep’s sons came to know about the surety appearing, they created a problem.
They were not verifying the sureties. Due to this, the father could not come out of the jail. The organization’s team and advocates Jitendra Singh and Mohammad Shahnawaz advocated and got the prisoner Gurdeep Singh released from the jail. The officials have taken the responsibility of arranging Gurdeep’s accommodation and food. Head Anil Gupta, Tarana Jamal, Rajni Gupta etc. from Sahayog Sanstha were present.
