Uttarakhand: A group of Holi revelers reached Rath and sang Holi songs in Pauri headquarters

In Pauri Garhwal, Holi festival of colours is being celebrated with great fervour by the teams of Holi players in the district. People are filled with enthusiasm for Holi.
The groups of Holi players arriving at Pauri headquarters are seen dancing and singing at various places, applying abir gulal to people and wishing them Holi. One such group reached Pauri from Tirpalisain area of Rath. They were seen in regional costumes, showing a glimpse of their folk culture.
Playing Holi with natural colours, these youths roamed around the city and asked for Holi from people. Young Holi players were seen immersed in the fun of Phagun while singing Holi songs with dholak, tongs, dapli, khanjira in their hands.
The Holi players said that they are working to awaken the spirit to save the tradition and culture. So that the next generation can also become familiar with the popular Holi culture of Uttarakhand and this tradition continues from generation to generation.
