Major accident in Gujarat; Three killed in massive fire in Rajkot building, 40 people rescued

What is the matter?
Three people died in a massive fire in a 12-storey residential building in Rajkot city of Gujarat on Friday morning. During this, another person was injured. Officials said that about 40 people trapped in the tower located in the 150 feet Ring Road area were rescued.
Fire caused by short circuit
Assistant Police Commissioner BJ Chaudhary said, ‘A fire broke out in a flat on the sixth floor of Atlantis Apartment at around 9.30 am. It broke out due to short circuit. Three people died in the fire, while an injured person has been admitted to the hospital.’
The third person has not been identified yet
The officer said that the fire was brought under control around 12 noon. Two of the deceased have been identified as Kalpesh Leuva and Mayur Leuva. The third person has not been identified yet.
Brought down with the help of hydraulic crane
The officer said that two of the victims were outsiders and had come to the building for some work. We have rescued around 40 people trapped on the upper floors due to dense smoke. Five of them were brought down with the help of a hydraulic crane of the fire brigade. Further investigation is underway.
