Spare the lives of Ukrainian soldiers… Trump spoke to Putin on phone, said- this is the right time to end the war

US President Donald Trump has spoken to Russian President Vladimir Putin. Trump has said that his talks with Putin can open the way to end the war in Ukraine. Trump has appealed to Putin to discuss a ceasefire in Ukraine as well as to be lenient with the Ukrainian soldiers surrounded by them. Donald Trump himself has given this information on social media. Trump has been in constant contact with the Russian President after becoming the President of America in January this year. While Trump and Putin are talking on the phone, the top officials of both the countries have also met in Saudi. Meanwhile, Trump has once again informed about the discussion with Putin.

Trump wrote on social media on Friday, ‘Yesterday we had a very good and meaningful conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. I am hopeful that this bloody war will end. However, this is a difficult time, when thousands of Ukrainian soldiers are completely surrounded by the Russian army. Ukrainian soldiers are in a very bad and weak condition in the war. I have strongly urged President Putin to spare their lives. This will be a terrible massacre, which has not been seen since the Second World War.’

Putin has also given a statement on the ceasefire

Statements are continuously coming from Russia, Ukraine and America on the Ukraine war. On Thursday itself, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on the ceasefire that we are ready to stop the war but our concerns should be addressed. Putin said, ‘We agree with the US proposal for a ceasefire with Ukraine but we want that this ceasefire should lead to permanent peace. The reasons that are at the root of this crisis should be removed.’

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on the statement of the Russian President that Moscow is trying to prolong the war instead of looking for a real solution. Zelensky said, ‘It is unfortunate that the world has not received any meaningful response from Russia on any proposal. This shows that Russia wants to prolong the war.’

Trump’s envoy met Putin

Donald Trump’s special envoy has also met Vladimir Putin. The Russian presidential office Kremlin said on Friday that Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff met Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that after this meeting, Putin and Trump may also meet soon. They have agreed that the two leaders should discuss together.
