Bihar: Encounter of the accused who killed ASI in Munger, shot in the leg; had pointed rifle at police

Guddu Yadav, the accused in the murder case of Jamadar ASI Santosh Kumar Singh, has been badly injured in a police encounter. It is being told that Guddu snatched the rifle of the jawan of Mufassil police station and pointed it at the policemen. After this, the police also did an encounter in self-defense. In this encounter, Guddu got shot in the leg and he fell there.

However, the police had to struggle to snatch the weapon from Guddu. When Guddu Yadav snatched the rifle of the police jawan, the police fired at Guddu in self-defense. The bullet hit Guddu’s left leg.

In this incident, police station in-charge Chandan Kumar, Additional Police Station In-charge Shriram and Inspector Saif Ali got injured, all of them have been admitted to Sadar Hospital for treatment. Superintendent of Police Syed Imran Masood reached Sadar Hospital and enquired about the condition of the police officer. Everyone is out of danger.

Some have injuries in their waist and some in their hands. SP said that the accused Ranveer Yadav, Vikas Yadav, Guddu Yadav and Chhotu have been arrested in the murder case of Jamadar Santosh. Some people have been taken into custody and are being questioned. SP has assured strict action.

SP informed about the incident and said that Ranbir Yadav, a resident of Nandlalpur, was creating a ruckus among the people after drinking alcohol. When this information was received, Jamadar Santosh Kumar Singh reached there with his team from Dial 112.

The family members attacked him with sharp weapons. He was referred to Patna late on Friday night in a critical condition. Where he died on Saturday morning. Let us tell you that before this yesterday, a mob had attacked and killed an ASI in Araria. After which there was chaos in his family.

After postmortem at Munger Sadar Hospital, Jamadar Santosh Kumar Singh’s body was brought to Police Line. DIG Rakesh Kumar, District Magistrate Avnish Kumar Singh, Superintendent of Police Syed Imran Masood, Sadar DSP Abhishek Anand and all police officers paid homage and offered flowers. After this, the body was sent to Jamadar’s native village Kaimur by vehicle.
