Samajwadi Party District President Muhammad Shukurullah Ansari passed away this morning. He was battling a fatal disease like cancer for the last one year. He breathed his last at around 7 am today. The news of his death has sent a wave of mourning across the district.

Muhammad Shukurullah Ansari was one of the senior leaders of the Samajwadi Party and was considered very close to party chief Akhilesh Yadav. However, after the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, he left the Samajwadi Party and joined the Congress, but did not remain active there for long.
