Uttarakhand: Snowfall in high altitude places including Auli-Badrinath, this will be the weather in the month of March

Snowfall occurred in high altitude areas including Auli-Badrinath Yamunotri in Uttarakhand today. Snowfall continues in the mountains while it is raining in the plains. Due to sudden change in weather, people once again felt cold. Especially in the mountains, severe cold started.

The Meteorological Department had predicted light rain in the mountainous districts of Uttarakhand. While a yellow alert was issued for winds blowing at a speed of 50 to 60 kilometers per hour in Dehradun, Haridwar and Nainital districts. Talking about the coming days, the weather is expected to remain bad till March 17.

It has been snowing since midnight around Yamunotri Dham and it is raining intermittently in the lower areas. Cold is returning due to rain and snowfall. Due to rain and snowfall, movement on the Yamunotri highway is still going on smoothly.

Cold has returned to the mountains due to snowfall. For the past few days, due to bright sunshine in the plains, the maximum day temperature was increasing by three to four degrees from normal. The minimum night temperature also increased by four degrees to 16.1 degrees. The situation was similar in all the districts across the state. According to the forecast issued by the Meteorological Center, winds are expected to blow at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour across the state till March 17. Due to snowfall in Auli, the roads are covered with snow, due to which vehicles are also facing difficulty in moving.
