Uttarakhand: Liquor was consumed heavily in Dehradun on Holi, sales graph increased by 54%; How much is sold on normal days?
For the liquor lovers, the celebration of Holi is incomplete without liquor. In such a situation, liquor worth more than eight crore rupees was consumed in Dehradun on Holi this time. The graph of liquor sales also increased by 54.63 percent on Holi.
According to District Excise Officer KP Singh, on normal days, foreign, country liquor as well as beer worth about five crore rupees is sold in Dehradun. On the other hand, this figure crossed eight crore rupees on Holi.
According to the District Excise Officer, on the day of Holi, March 14, the liquor shops were closed till 5 pm. Therefore, the liquor lovers had done their shopping on March 13, a day before Holi.
On normal days, about one lakh bottles of liquor are sold in Dehradun district. A day before Holi, this graph had increased to 1.77 lakh bottles. In this way, if we talk about the total sales, this jump was close to 77 percent.

The weather was relatively more dry on this Holi. Due to this, the liquor lovers also drank a lot of beer. On normal days, around 25 thousand bottles of beer are sold daily. In view of Holi, this sale increased two and a half times and reached around 70 thousand bottles.

शराब के नशे में गदेरे में गिरा व्यक्ति, मौत
पौड़ी: थाना क्षेत्र पैठाणी के एक गांव में रह रहा नेपाल मूल का एक व्यक्ति शराब के नशे में गदेरे में जा गिरा। हादसे में उसके सिर पर चोट लगने से उसकी मौत हो गई है। मृतक की पत्नी की सूचना पर पुलिस ने शव को निकालकर पोस्टमार्टम के बाद स्वजन को सौंप दिया।
थानाध्यक्ष पैठाणी सुनील रावत ने बताया कि नेपाल मूल के प्रेम खत्री ने टीला गांव की एक महिला से शादी की थी, जो अब लंबे समय से गांव में ही रह रहा था। बताया कि बीते 12 मार्च को वह मजदूरी करने घर से निकला, लेकिन देर शाम तक घर नहीं लौटा।
पत्नी ने पति की तलाश की, तो उसे जानकारी मिली कि गांव के पास गदेरे में गिरा है। उन्होंने घटना की सूचना पुलिस को दी। मौके पर पहुंच पुलिस टीम ने व्यक्ति को बाहर निकाला। थानाध्यक्ष सुनील रावत ने बताया कि हादसे में प्रेम खत्री (38) निवासी गुदुखाती, थाना डोगड़ी, जिला बाजुरा नेपाल की मौत हो गई थी। वह शराब के नशे में गदेरे में गिर गया था।
