Uttar Pradesh: A person duped a cyber fraudster, took thousands of rupees from him, now the fraudster is begging for his money

An interesting case of cyber fraud has come to light in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Usually you must have heard that cyber fraudsters prey on innocent people. But this time the story was completely opposite. Here a young man not only saved himself from fraud. But he also trapped the fraudster in his trap. This young man cleverly tricked the fraudster in such a way that he himself lost 10,000 rupees and now started pleading to get his money back.
How did he trap the fraudster?
Actually this case is related to Bhupendra Singh, who lives in Barra area of Kanpur. He works in a private company and has also been in the media earlier. He was well aware of the methods of cyber fraud. On March 6, he received a call. In which the caller introduced himself as an officer of CBI and Mumbai Police Crime Branch. The caller accused Bhupendra of watching pornographic videos and threatened him with ‘digital arrest’.
But Bhupendra did not panic. Instead, he made a plan to fool the fraudster. He started talking like a nervous 16-year-old teenager and started pleading, “Please don’t tell my mother!” While in reality, his mother had passed away.
The fraudster got duped
On March 7, Bhupendra decided to teach the fraudster a lesson. He told the fraudster a story that he had a gold chain. He needed money to redeem it. Greedily, the fraudster sent him Rs 3000.
After this, he also got duped of Rs 500 in the name of interest. Then, he extorted Rs 4480 from the goldsmith on the pretext of redeeming the chain. On March 10, he got duped of Rs 3000 more on the pretext of gold loan. In total, the fraudster duped him of Rs 10,000. After this, the fraudster understood that he himself had been caught in the trap.
Now the fraudster himself is pleading!
When the fraudster realized this, he started demanding his money back from Bhupendra. In a 7 minute 27 second audio recording, the fraudster is heard saying, “Brother, please return my money… It is Holi for my children… I have to buy pichkaris and colours for them.”
Still calling
Bhupendra says that the fraudster is still calling him continuously and trying to get his money back in any way. This incident has shown that cyber criminals do not always win, sometimes the prey can also become the predator!
