Uttarakhand / Dehradun: Police campaign against drunk driving, 41 people arrested
Dehradun Police’s campaign against people driving vehicles after drinking alcohol is continuing. Last Saturday, the police arrested 41 people who were driving vehicles after drinking alcohol. Apart from this, 55 people who created ruckus after drinking alcohol in public places were brought to the police station.
Police strictness against those driving vehicles after drinking alcohol
Dehradun SSP Ajay Singh held a meeting with all the subordinate officers and instructed to take action against those who violate the rules for traffic improvement. Also, to curb road accidents, 2 additional interceptor vehicles have been appointed at accident prone places against those who drink and drive and rash driving at night.
41 persons arrested
On the instructions of the SSP, the police took action against those who violated the rules on Saturday night. The police arrested 41 persons who were driving vehicles after drinking alcohol and seized all their vehicles. Also, while taking action against drivers who were driving at high speed and rash driving at night, 25 vehicles were seized.
