Uttarakhand: BJP leader did dirty act with a girl and a woman on Holi, case registered under POCSO

The BJP leader is accused of doing obscene acts with a minor girl and a woman. When she protested, the leader threatened the victim. Based on the complaint of the victim, the police have registered a case against the accused.

The incident is of March 14. According to the information, the woman living in Transit Camp told the police in the complaint that she had gone to meet Ward No. 8 councilor Shiv Kumar Gangwar’s wife Sona at her home with her minor daughter on Holi Milan at around 4 pm. While returning, the councilor reached there. The victim alleges that during this time the councilor did obscene acts with her.
Police registered a case on the complaint of the victim
When the woman protested, councilor Shiv Kumar started threatening her. The woman informed her landlord about this. When she protested, the landlord went to the councilor’s house and tried to convince him. It is alleged that councilor Shiv Kumar and his wife Sona beat her up. SP Crime Niharika Tomar investigated the matter on the complaint of the victim.
Investigation of the case continues
On the basis of evidence found in the preliminary investigation, the police have registered a case against the councilor under the POCSO Act. A case has also been registered against the councilor’s wife Sona. Regarding the case, SP City Uttam Singh Negi says that a case has been registered against the accused couple. Investigation of the case is ongoing.
