District Magistrate Savin Bansal held a public hearing and heard the complaints and problems of people from different areas of the district. The complainants raised 105 problems in the public hearing. Most of the problems were resolved by the District Magistrate on the spot. He also instructed the officials to resolve public problems quickly and resolve them in a timely manner. Most of the problems received in the public hearing were related to land and domestic disputes, roads, drinking water, MDDA, Municipal Corporation, Police, Transport, Education, Electricity, Financial Assistance, School Fee Waiver, and benefiting from Nanda Sunanda Yojana. The District Magistrate also issued instructions to stop the salary of the District Mining Officer for not being present during the public hearing.

72-year-old Mangala Devi, a resident of Bhudgaon, Paditwadi, who reached the public hearing, narrated her ordeal to the District Magistrate (DM Dehradun). To get legal justice to the elderly woman, the District Magistrate sent “Sarathi” to the One Stop Center and provided shelter to the elderly. Along with this, he directed the District Program Officer to complete various actions by conducting a thorough investigation. An elderly woman who was wandering for justice for 10 years got justice in the Janta Darshan program. Orders were issued on the spot for demolition of illegal construction on unauthorized construction and illegal activity at residential site, harassment of elderly.

Widow Anjana, resident of Dandipur Mohalla, told her agony to the District Magistrate and said that she has two young daughters and after the death of her husband, she has no employment. In view of the upbringing of the daughters and the poor financial condition of the family, the District Magistrate directed the Mining Officer to give employment to the woman by appointing her at the prevailing remuneration rates from the Mining Trust Fund. Widow Lata Thapliyal, resident of Doiwala and widow Sangeeta, resident of Rajiv Nagar, appealed for financial assistance for the education of their respective daughters. On which the District Magistrate directed the concerned officers to investigate both the cases and submit the application for approval under Nanda Sunanda.

On the problem of illegal occupation of agricultural land of Bhitarli resident Kavita Rawat and running JCB without consent, the District Magistrate constituted a joint committee of SDM Sadar and Sub Registrar and directed to investigate and provide a report within 07 days. Vivek Vihar resident BL Seth accused the welding shop owner at Kanwali Road of fraud of one lakh for putting up a tin shed on the roof, on which the police has not yet registered an FIR. The District Magistrate asked the Senior Superintendent of Police to take immediate necessary action and resolve the matter. On the complaint of illegal mining storage and sale at Sanskriti Lok Colony Haridwar, Brahmin Wala, the District Mining Officer was directed to investigate the matter and take immediate action.
