Uttarakhand: The shortage of teachers in the mountains will be overcome, 789 guest lecturers will be appointed soon in Uttarakhand
Soon 789 more guest teachers will be deployed in government secondary schools under the School Education Department. These teachers of the lecturer cadre will be appointed for various subjects of the arts category in the schools of the hilly and remote areas of the state. In this regard, the Education Minister of the state, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat has instructed the departmental officials to immediately appoint district and subject-wise guest lecturers.
789 guest teachers will be appointed
The state government had decided to appoint guest teachers on the vacant posts of the lecturer cadre with the aim of ensuring teaching system in the government secondary schools of the state. In view of the shortage of teachers in schools and the delay in getting lecturer teachers from the State Public Service Commission, once again 789 more guest lecturers will be deployed in the arts category. Which includes 193 guest teachers in Hindi subject, 90 in Geography, 194 in Economics, 217 in Civics and 95 in History subject.
Appointment will be given on the basis of merit
Let us tell you that all these guest lecturers have been allotted districts on the basis of merit, where they will be given cadre-wise and subject-wise appointment in various government secondary schools. In which 101 guest lecturers of various subjects will be deployed in Chamoli. Similarly, 98 guest teachers are included in Pithoragarh, 154 in Pauri, 90 in Almora, 22 in Uttarakashi, 61 in Tehri, 39 in Nainital, 44 in Champawat, 55 in Bageshwar, 61 in Rudraprayag, 19 in Dehradun, 42 in Udham Singh Nagar and 3 in Haridwar.
Education Minister issued instructions
All guest teachers of the science category will be appointed in the hilly and remote area secondary schools on priority basis. In this regard, the departmental minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat has instructed the departmental officials to deploy guest teachers soon. Earlier, 157 guest lecturers were appointed in the science category by the department. Giving information, the minister said that the merit list of 789 guest lecturers of arts stream subjects has been prepared and sent to the districts. Instructions have been given to all the chief education officers to give immediate deployment to these guest teachers as per the vacant posts.
