Vatsalya Yojana: More than four crore rupees transferred to more than 5 thousand beneficiaries

Women Empowerment and Child Development Minister Rekha Arya on Wednesday transferred funds to 5542 beneficiaries of January, 5517 beneficiaries of February and 5487 beneficiaries of March under the Chief Minister Vatsalya Yojana. Money for 3 months has been released simultaneously under the scheme.
The minister transferred an amount of four crore 96 lakh 38 thousand rupees to DBT
On Wednesday, Minister Rekha Arya transferred this amount from her camp office to DBT. Minister Rekha Arya said that on Wednesday, the amount from January 1 to March 31 this year has been transferred simultaneously. A total of 4 crore 96 lakh 38 thousand rupees have been sent to the beneficiaries.
What is Vatsalya Yojana?
Under the Vatsalya Yojana, children and adolescents who lost their parents or guardians during the Corona period are given financial assistance by the government at the rate of 3 thousand per month till they turn 21 years old.
5487 beneficiaries of Vatsalya Yojana in the state
The minister said that earlier the number of beneficiaries was more, but every month some beneficiaries are out of the scheme due to being over 21 years of age or due to marriage or other reasons. This scheme of the government has proved to be a boon for the children who became helpless during the Corona period. In this scheme, apart from financial assistance of Rs 3 thousand per month to the beneficiaries, the government also takes responsibility for their food, education etc.
