We all think about retirement. It is a dream that is fulfilled after years of hard work and savings. But imagine, what if someone retires at the age of 23 after working for just 2 years? And after that he starts getting pension for life. Perhaps this may sound a bit strange, but it is completely true.

This has happened to a boy in Russia. This boy named Pavel Stepchenko is only 23 years old and he has retired. Pavel has become the youngest person to get a pension in Russia. Now his name has been recorded in the national record.

Choosed a different path at the age of 16

Pavel took admission in a school of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs at the age of 16. After 5 years of rigorous training, he started working in a department of the Internal Affairs System.

After just two years of work, Pavel took a shocking decision. He decided to retire at the age of 23. Many people will think how can retirement happen so early? But this was possible due to a special law of Russia. Due to this law, Pavel got the necessary credit for pension in a very short time.

What is the law related to retirement?

According to Russian law, employees working during Martial Law get three months of service credit for every month. Martial law is a kind of emergency, in which the army takes law and order into its own hands.

Pavel had worked in similar circumstances. Therefore, every month of his work was counted as three months. Because of this, he was able to complete the required service time to retire very early. Pavel applied for retirement on 28 November 2023. His application was approved and he started getting full pension according to Russian law.
