Due to the ongoing repair work on the Kalsia bridge located in Kathgodam, Haldwani, there is a situation of heavy jam on Nainital road, due to which the passengers commuting are facing problems. On Thursday, Kumaon Commissioner inspected the repair work and inquired about the progress of the work from NHAI officials.

Due to the repair work on the Kalsia bridge, the route has been made one way. Due to which the passengers are facing difficulties. Taking this problem seriously, Kumaon Commissioner Deepak Rawat reached the spot and inspected the bridge. Along with this, strict instructions have been given to the officials to complete the repair work as soon as possible.
Negligence in repair work will not be tolerated: IAS
During the inspection, Kumaon Commissioner Deepak Rawat inquired about the progress of the work from NHAI officials and expressed displeasure and said that people are facing inconvenience due to the disruption of traffic, which should be completed as soon as possible. Deepak Rawat has instructed that any kind of negligence in the repair work will not be tolerated.
One-way traffic system implemented
- Vehicles going from Haldwani city Kathgodam to the hilly area will be able to go through their designated route.
- Vehicles coming from the hilly area towards Haldwani Kathgodam will come via Russian bypass – Kaladhungi.
