Uttar Pradesh: ‘Allahabad High Court is not a dustbin’, Bar Association protests against Justice Yashwant Verma

Big news has come out regarding the recommendation to transfer Delhi High Court judge Yashwant Verma to Allahabad High Court. The Bar Association of Allahabad High Court has strongly objected to his transfer. It has appealed not to send him to Allahabad High Court. The Bar Association has said that Allahabad High Court is not a dustbin that corruption accused should be sent here to give justice.

The Bar Association of Allahabad High Court has demanded that Justice Yashwant Verma should not be transferred to Allahabad High Court. He should be kept away from judicial work until the investigation against him is completed. At the same time, the Bar Association has also called a meeting of the General House on March 24 in this matter.

The Bar Association says that a big decision can be taken on this issue in the General House meeting. The Bar Association has also issued a four-page letter in this regard. It has been said in the letter that they have come to know through media reports that after the allegation of recovery of some money from Justice Verma’s house, it has been recommended to transfer him to Allahabad High Court, this is completely wrong.

Public faith in justice will decrease

If accused people are made to sit in the High Court to deliver justice, then public faith in justice will decrease. This matter is going to pose a serious threat to the transparency and credibility of the judicial system. In the letter of the Bar Association, it has been said at many places that Allahabad High Court is not a dustbin, that people accused of corruption should be sent here. The Bar Association has also cited an old decision of the Supreme Court in its letter. The letter has been issued by the President of the Bar Association, Anil Tiwari.
