India is going to buy military equipment and Advanced Towed Artillery Gun System (ATAGS), for which Rs 61 thousand crore will be spent. Pakistan is shocked to see India’s military modernization. A Pakistani expert says that whenever India does such development, Pakistan’s problems increase and its insecurity increases.

Pakistani expert Qamar Cheema said that when India buys military hardware, Pakistanis also start thinking what to do. The Pakistani government thinks that if India has tanks, we should also have them. He said that Pakistan feels that it cannot compete with India in vessel-to-vessel, so it is focusing on its air superiority.

He said that Pakistan has a strong air force. If India is doing military modernization, then we also have high-tech weapons. We are working with China on J-35 and fifth generation fighter jets. We also have J-16 and JF-17. We have also bought J-10, so we have a strong Air Force.

Qamar Cheema said that once there was a news quoting former Army Chief General Bajwa that our tanks have become old, so we cannot compete with India. The army says that we have bought big tanks in the last few years because they will play an important role in the war we will fight with India. Qamar Cheema said, ‘I think we are in danger, but we cannot have vessel-to-vessel competition with India. We are working on our air superiority. They are modernizing their military.’

He said that in our regional calculus, our understanding is that there will be a dog fight with India. Some game has to be played on the planes. So this is a matter of just a few seconds. It is a matter of just seconds and that opportunity comes after years. Qamar Cheema said that last time Pakistan had shot down India’s plane, but now Pakistan cannot afford to do something like this the next time because we know that our people do not spare us. They say that we are spending so much money on the army, then deliver it to us. So it is obvious that by spending money on the army, India makes Pakistan insecure.
